Deakin's study abroad program allows students to select units (courses) of study from across all five Deakin Faculties.
The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment's programs are delivered through four schools. These are Architecture and Building, Engineering, Information Technology and Life and Environmental Sciences.
Look for units (courses/classes) you can take at Deakin University using the unit search. Use the keyword (your field of study eg marketing), trimester start and year level to refine your search. For assistance with finding units or further information on the classes available to study abroad students email firstname.lastname@example.org.
For further information on Deakin's study abroad program including entry requirements, applying, accommodation, orientation trip, campuses and locations, please visit the Study Abroad website.
Fees for international students apply to persons living in Australia with Temporary Resident status, provided that there is no limitation on study and persons living abroad who are not Australian citizens and do not have Permanent Resident status in Australia.
Students applying directly to Deakin University are required to pay:
Please note that tuition fees are likely to increase annually, and that if your program of study starts in one academic year and finishes in the next, the fee for the subsequent year will be the fee set by the University for that year.
These fees include tuition, Beach or Bush orientation trip, airport reception and transfer upon arrival, on going student support and academic transcript upon completion of trimester. The Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a compulsory Australian Government fee covering basic medical and hospital care.
The above fees do not include accommodation, travel, books and general living costs. The Study Abroad tuition fee is a flat fee regardless of the number of units taken. Fees for continuing students are assessed and invoiced before the beginning of each trimester and must be paid by the due date. Non-payment of fees will result in termination of enrolment. Fees for new students must be paid before a student visa can be issued. Students are advised to read Deakin's Fees and Refund Policy.
