Content
This unit develops skills in creating and manipulating moving and still images and sound, through special effects and compositing techniques. Motion graphics and compositing are standard techniques within the film, animation and games content industries. Topics covered include lighting and directing for chroma-key (green screen) footage, typography for film titling, and compositing using industry standard software. Students work in studio and laboratory workspaces, and have opportunities for producing live action and stop motion work for assignment tasks. The unit requires no prior knowledge of software or compositing techniques.
