Content

HBS745 is a Cloud (online) unit involving students from Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Dietetics, Clinical Exercise Physiology and Medicine. There are two streams to this unit that run concurrently throughout the trimester: the self-directed IPE stream and the interactive case conference stream.

In the self-directed IPE stream students explore in a self-directed manner the key themes of the unit including key factors in collaborative practice, understanding your own and others personal style, health professional roles, leadership in collaborative teams, teams and team development, and conflict management and assertiveness in collaborative teams.

In the interactive case conference stream students are allocated in to interprofessional student teams. In these teams, they students will undertake a weekly activity. This activity will either be a cloud-based discussion related to collaborative practice or an activity related to the development of a team care plan for a case. Teams will develop three team care plans by participating in three Blackboard Collaborate case conferences and by ongoing cloud based discussion to finalise the care plans.
