Trimester 2: Waurn Ponds (Geelong)

This unit commences in Trimester 2 2015.
You will need to access substantial learning resources and experiences in CloudDeakin (Deakin’s online learning environment). Compliance with the Standards in computing, connectivity and student capability are a condition on your enrolment.
This unit examines approaches to the engineering of cells and tissues for medical applications, including regenerative medicine and biomaterials, including recent advances in functionality, biomechanical stability and biocompatibility that are underpinning the generation of artificial tissues.
Mid-trimester test (45 minutes) 20%, written report (1000 words) 25%, practical report (1000 words) 25%, examination (2 hours) 30%
