Content
This unit will prepare students for professional practice. It will ensure that students are familiar with ethical, legal and professional practice requirements and responsibilities. The unit examines: the Psychology Board of Australia requirements for registration as a psychologist; requirements of the APS colleges of Clinical Psychologists; Forensic Psychologists and Health Psychologists, the APS Code of Ethical and Professional Standards; the nature of supervision and the responsibilities of the supervisor and the psychologist in-training; the effect of the different contexts in which psychologists works; the mutual responsibilities of team members; the law as it applies to professional practice; and common practical problems in working with clients; legal and ethical issues, and issues involved in working with other professionals.

Class presentation (with handout) 30%, sel-reflection case report (1500 words) 30%, oral examination 40%
