Content
This unit aims to enable students to develop understanding of, and practice in, current approaches in coaching and counselling for behaviour change including:
The unit is applicable to a range of disciplines across the university and highly relevant for students wishing to develop practical skills in coaching, counselling, well-being and life-skills.
Assessment
Assignment 1: students choose from various options (equivalent to a 2000 word essay) 30%; assignment 2: facilitation in pairs – group work, 50%; assignment 3: reflective practice diary (minimum entry 600 words) 20%
Tutorial seminar attendance: Students will be required to attend a minimum of 80% of the weekly on-campus Tutorials as a hurdle requirement to obtain a pass or above in the unit. Tutorials will be 3-hours duration per week.
