Content

This unit will provide students with an opportunity to undertake a minimum of 80 hours of fieldwork experience within clinical exercise physiology scope of practice. Each student’s fieldwork experience will be supervised by an Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) accredited exercise physiologist, a university-trained allied health professional (e.g. registered physiotherapist) or an exercise scientist with appropriate experience working with clients with chronic disease. Field experiences are intended to provide students with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in clinical exercise physiology to enhance their professional development and vocation potential.

Assessment

Online discussion task 50%; Self-reflection task: Written report (2500 words) 50%; ESSA log book and Clinical Placement Reference Forms - hurdle requirement; Supervisor report - hurdle requirement;
