Content
In order to gain a competitive advantage through Business Analytics, managers need to be able to
model and analyse business data and convert the resulting insights into business decisions. This unit
will provide students with the knowledge and skills to build decision models that capture business
problems and provide analysis tools that inform decision making. Students will be given the
opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working on a large scale business problem guided by a
group of industry practitioners. The unit will also cover emerging trends and current issues in decision modelling as well as introduce students to the latest decision modelling software tools.
