Content

This unit covers electrical power system modelling, dynamics of various generator-motor-load, transfer functions, power system stability, voltage and load frequency control, load flow analysis using various types of load flow, balanced and unbalanced fault calculations, safety standards in use in the electrical industry, both in Australia and aboard.

Assessment

Assignment work 60%, examination 40%.  To be eligible to obtain a pass in this unit, students must achieve an overall mark of at least 40% in the examination.
