SIT151 - Game Fundamentals

Students are expected to actively engage with SIT151 in CloudDeakin for a minimum of 1 hour per week.
You will need to access substantial learning resources and experiences in CloudDeakin (Deakin’s online learning environment). Compliance with the Standards in computing, connectivity and student capability are a condition on your enrolment.
The unit provides students with the foundation concepts and skills required for design and development of games. Through combination of practical application and theory, students will learn about designing games with a focus on engaging and refining their creative skills. Students will analyse existing games, learn about current processes of game design and development, and design a game implementation. In addition, information on the game industry and careers will be presented. Specific topics of interest in this unit include:
- Game creativity and innovation
- Game design
- Game development
- Game Industry and Careers
