1 x 1 hour class per week, 1 x 2 hour seminar per week.  Cloud (online) students are expected to participate in collaborative learning activities in CloudDeakin.


Online teaching methods require internet access. You will need to access substantial learning resources and experiences in CloudDeakin (Deakin’s online learning environment). Compliance with the Standards in computing, connectivity and student capability are a condition on your enrolment.


This unit exposes students to a range of professional skills and gives them an opportunity of experiencing them in an organisational setting. It presents a variety of contemporary practices used in the development and management of information technology systems. The unit covers business communication and documentation; team work; collaboration and negotiation. The unit also focuses on the impact of information technology on society, investigates ethical and professional issues and prepares students for work as IT professionals.
