Content
This unit aims to provide in-depth coverage of the process of games design, and allows for an appreciation of what it means to be a games designer. Students will analyse games design and critique their own creations to determine how best to create a game experience for specific audiences. Games will be created using various software technologies such as existing games engines. Many topics are considered, such as: gameplay mechanics, rule design, play mechanics, game balancing, social game interaction, play testing and game design documentation.
