History and Philosophy of Science represents a merging of disciplines in science and the humanities.  This unit will explore past and present developments in a range of disciplines of science, agriculture, technology, medicine, astronomy, and palaeontology, including themes such as Darwinism, global warming, science and pseudoscience, religion, culture, political, economic and societal interactions, and the digital world.  Case studies will be examined to critically analyse science and its social, cultural and political significances in the modern world.
