Art and Society explores the human relationship with our natural and cultural environment since the dawn of time; creating place, seeking shelter and expressing beliefs. The unit focuses upon the history and theory of architecture, painting and sculpture and considers how distinct cultures have developed form, technique and their own iconography. This opens up the opportunity to discuss shared attitudes, ideas and to celebrate difference.
