Arriving in Australia

When to arrive

AeroplaneYou must arrive in time for the International Registration and Enrolment Program that is held on campus at the start of semester. Your Letter of Offer will contain information on the program including relevant dates and venues.

During the program you will formally enrol in your course, sign up for tutorials and finalise any advanced standing (credit transfer) applications. You will also get to meet other students, faculty staff and International Student Advisers. As such, you must ensure that you arrive in time for the program, as well as to secure permanent accommodation.

Temporary accommodation and airport reception

Students who are arriving in Australia for the first time can request to be met at Melbourne Airport by an Airport Reception Officer.

Complete the relevant sections on your Notfication of Arrival form (999kb) (DUELI students, use the DUELI Notification of Arrival form (60kb)) if you wish to receive these services.
