English for TESOL
ENGLISH FOR TESOL
Level: Advanced
Duration:10 weeks (May to July and November –February only)
Hours per week: 20 hours
DUELI’s English for TESOL Program will be offered from November 2008. The English for TESOL Program is a 10 English language program for high level students with IELTS 5.5 (no band lower than 5.5) or above.
Each week of the English for TESOL program focuses on a range of tasks and academic themes. Students are given specific tasks that ensure that they develop the writing, reading, listening and speaking skills needed to achieve success at university. This is a high level course for high level students who wish to achieve success once they commence their university program.
The aims of the program:
- to provide a high level intensive English language program
- to provide a introductory program for students wishing to develop their English language and academic skills for future studies or work in the TESOL field both in Australia and abroad
- for students to have an introduction to current methodologies and issues in TESOL
- to further the development of students’ research and critical thinking skill.
