    International students can pay their fees by any of the following methods:

  2. What fees do I need to pay?

    On-campus international students are required to pay:

    • Tuition fees
    • Overseas Student Health Cover
    • Non-refundable application fee of A$55 (Students applying online do not have to pay the application fee)

    Off-campus international students are required to pay
    • Tuition fees
    • Non-refundable application fee of A$55 (Students applying online do not have to pay the application fee)

  3. When do I need to pay my fees?

    For students starting a course at Deakin University, fees must be paid once they have accepted their offer. If you are paying by bank draft or credit card, complete and return the Offer Acceptance and Payment of Fees form to Deakin International.

    Once we have received your payment (along with your Offer Acceptance form), we will issue you with an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) that will enable you to apply for a student visa.

  4. What is the University's policy on fee refunds?

    The University's tuition fee, fee refund and privacy policies are available to all students. You are advised to familiarise yourself with them before making any fee payment.

  5. How do I pay by electronic funds transfer?

    You can pay your fees by electronic funds transfer through your local bank. Below are the details needed to organise payment by electronic funds transfer.

    Please note: payment must be made in Australian dollars. Your bank may also charge you an administrative fee for electronic funds transfers, which you will have to take into account when making your payment.

    You will need to provide the following information to the bank:

    • Student name
    • Date of birth
    • Course name
    • Details of payment (e.g. payment for tuition fees for semester 1, 2008)

    Once the transaction has been made, notify Deakin University by faxing a copy of the transaction details to Deakin Finance on +61 3 9244 5094, including the following information:

    • Bank name
    • Branch name
    • Branch number
    • Student name
    • Student number (as on Offer Letter)
    • Date of birth

  6. How do I pay my fees in person?

    You can visit any of our international offices in Australia, India or Indonesia to pay your fees. Note: cash payments are not accepted.

  7. How do I pay by credit card?

    Deakin International prefers the online payment method for students paying their fees with credit card from overseas. Paying online is a safe and fast payment method that lets you:

    • Pay in your local currency
    • Pay with various major currencies
    • Pay with credit card

  8. How do I pay by bank cheque/draft?

    When you receive your Letter of Offer, you will also be sent a Payment of Fees form (62 KB). If you decide to pay by bank cheque/draft, complete the relevant section of the form and send it by courier or registered mail to:

    Please note: payment must be made in Australian dollars. Your bank may also charge you an administration fee for the bank cheque/bank draft, which you will have to take into account when making your payment.

    The bank cheque/draft must be payable to Deakin University and you must include the following information:

    • Student name
    • Date of birth
    • Course name
    • Details of payment (e.g. payment for tuition fees for semester 1, 2008)

    You are advised to make photocopies of all bank drafts/cheques and keep them as evidence of payment.

  9. Is there an application fee?

    Yes, Deakin University charges a non-refundable application fee of A$55. However, students applying online do not have to pay the application fee

  10. What happens if I do not pay my fees on time?

    If you do not pay your fees on time, you will not be able to enrol. Your application for a student visa may also be affected.

  11. What if I cannot pay all my fees?

    Unfortunately, all commencing students must pay their fees in full before they can be issued with an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE). If you find that you are unable to pay your first trimester tuition fees in full, you may wish to consider deferring your offer until your circumstances change.
