Geelong Cityside Accommodation (formerly known as Villamanta House) is a 13-bedroom two-storey student residence located in Geelong on the west side of the City. It is ideally located, being only 300 metres from the Geelong Train Station and Bus Port and within easy walking distance to the library, City, Deakin Geelong Waterfront Campus, Eastern Beach and the cosmopolitan Pakington Street cafe precinct and shopping centre. A take-away food shop and pub are also located just around the corner.
The house has been fully refurbished and features quality furniture, carpets and a vibrant colour scheme throughout. All bedrooms are air-conditioned/heated and boast their own refrigerator, large study desk with chair and desk light, pin-board, mirror and cupboard. Each room has a TV aerial point and connection for phone or the internet. Crockery and cutlery is supplied and may be kept in your own lockable kitchen cupboard. A free packaged breakfast is provided for your first two nights accommodation to help you settle in.
When you need a break from study there is a large lounge room with a dvd/cd/mp3 player and cable television featuring movie channels. Alternatively you might like to relax with a game of billiards in the pool room or simply relax in a comfy chair with a book.
A fully equipped kitchen allows you to explore your culinary talents with everything supplied: pots, pans, utensils, toaster, two microwaves, two cooktops, oven, coffee percolator, instant boiling water supply, tea towels and detergents. If you prefer there is also a barbeque and two outdoor settings for those warm nights. Your personal needs are also well catered for with 6 toilets (paper provided), 4 showers and a laundry with coin operated clothes dryer, free washing machine and ironing facility, vacuum cleaner, broom and twin stainless steel sink.Cleaning of all common areas is provided twice weekly.
Room rates
Rates are for a minimum stay of 19 weeks (one semester). Rates are inclusive of all utilities – gas, electricity and water. No additional taxes are applied.

Room charge is payable minimum two weeks in advance, although our preference is for full semester in advance.
A refundable key deposit of $50 is required on arrival.
Optional bed packs consisting of a quilt, quilt cover and fitted sheet set, 2 pillows, pillow protectors and a large bath towel are available at a cost of $95.
If a private phone/internet line to your bedroom is required a connection fee of approx $60 is payable to the telephone service provider.
A Project Room is provided and includes stationery supplies for projects. A house telephone accepts all incoming calls and enables outgoing calls to be made with pre-paid phone cards. A high speed wireless broadband internet facility is available for a small fee.
Please note that students who are successful in securing a place at Geelong Cityside Accommodation will be notified by Deakin International.
