After you've settled into your accommodation, we head down to the coast on a Monday morning with a bunch of Australian students who have studied abroad themselves, allowing you to get a flavour of Australian hospitality and the chance to meet new friends.
We travel along the Great Ocean Road, voted by Conde Nast Traveller magazine as the top 'must do' great drive of the world. This coastline is truly a spectacular sight marked by one 'kodak moment' after another. You will get to see the world-famous Twelve Apostles, the Otways rainforest and Australia's most famous surf beach, Bells Beach, on the Surf Coast.
The Program also features useful sessions on making the most of your stay in Australia, including sessions on how best to meet Aussies and tips on travelling in Australia.
On the third day, you will be dropped off at your campus with your new friends, both local and international, whom you can look forward to to be part of your support network in the upcoming semester.
For more information, have a look at the Beach Welcome Program itinerary and check out our photos from the last Program.
On Thursday, you will spend the day on campus where we give you all the crucial information you will need to make your time at Deakin a complete success.
You will also meet enrolment advisors who will be able to assist you with any enrolment questions and/or changes you may need to make for your course. There will also be other Deakin students present who have been on overseas exchange programs themselves to provide feedback and answers to any questions you may have.
