Single subject non-award study

Single subject non-award study provides the general public with access to a wide variety of tertiary level units. Some units have prerequisites or special requirements, but most are open to all.

A non-award unit is a unit of study from a degree course or courses that does not lead to a degree. If successfully completed, the unit may be counted as credit towards a degree course at Deakin, subject to admission to a degree course and approval by the faculty.

The successful completion of a single unit does not automatically qualify a student for admission to an award course at Deakin. Anyone wishing to enrol in an award course after completing a non-award unit will be required to complete the normal application process and their application will be considered with all other applicants.

If admitted to a unit/s, students must complete all administrative, academic and examination requirements in order to obtain formal acknowledgement that they have completed all requirements of the unit.

For more information please visit single subject non-award study.
