Deakin scholarships

Deakin University recognises the importance of access to higher education to all members of the community. That is why we are determined to make higher education possible for those in most need of assistance.

Deakin has a comprehensive range of generous scholarships developed specifically for:

• People who may not otherwise have the opportunity to access higher education
• Students from disadvantaged financial backgrounds
• Students from rural and regional backgrounds
• Students with a disability
• Mature-aged students
• Indigenous students
• Students from under-represented schools

Deakin's range of scholarships offer true access and genuine equity for the life of the course.
Scholarships offered by Deakin include:

• Deakin Access Scholarships
These scholarships provide access to higher education for students who, because of some hardship, disability or other form of disadvantage, would otherwise have difficulty participating in university education. These scholarships pay all student HECS contributions for the normal duration of the course which may be undertaken at our Melbourne, Geelong or Warrnambool campuses.

• Deakin Accommodation Scholarships
Accommodation scholarships are valued at $7000 per year for the duration of a course and are available to assist students who have to move from rural and regional locations to live and study at our Geelong or Warrnambool campuses.

• Other Access and Equity Scholarships
Deakin also offers a large range of other scholarships funded by donations and other sources.

For further details about our scholarships including application information, visit the scholarships website or phone 03 9244 6333.
