PhD scholarship in the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research

Behavioural determinants of meal patterns among young adults

Closing date: 17 June 2013

The overall aim of this project is to examine the behavioural determinants of meal patterns among young adults. Most research in nutrition examines relationships between individual nutrients, foods and groups of foods and disease.  In contrast, this project is aimed at understanding the social and behavioural determinants of meals and meal patterns. This project will examine the intrapersonal, social and environmental correlates of meal patterns in young adults. There may also be the opportunity to undertake methodological work underpinning the assessment of meal patterns among young adults. The project is funded by the Australian Research Council. The project's Chief Investigators are Dr Sarah McNaughton and Prof Tony Worsley.
