If you are a female student enrolling in or currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Film and Digital Media, Bachelor of Creative Arts (Drama), Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance), Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts) and not born in Australia consider applying for this scholarship.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship you must be:

  • an Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • Female
  • not born in Australia
  • enrolling in or currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Film and Digital Media, Bachelor of Creative Arts (Drama), Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance), Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts)
  • able to demonstrate a social or economic disadvantage

Selection criteria

As part of the on-line application process, you will need to include a personal statement detailing how the scholarship will assist you in succeeding in your course and demonstrate your commitment to pursuing a career as an artist. 

Your application will be assessed and ranked on information you provide in your application and your ability to express yourself in a unique and distinctive way.

Applicants can apply directly to Deakin University via the Deakin Applicant Portal

You will be required to supply the following documentation once your on-line application has been submitted.

  • a copy of your academic progression to date/or Year 12 results
  • Two personal references (written)
  • Documentation in support of your disadvantage.  Examples of possible documents you could provide are: Centrelink statement, medical certificates, counsellor letters, police reports, statement of support written by someone not related to you that can confirm the information you provided in your statement.
  • a folio of your creative work.
