Deakin at Your Doorstep (Associate Degree of Arts, Business and Sciences) scholarships

The Deakin at Your Doorstep Learning and Development Scholarships aim to assist students studying the Associate Degree of Arts, Business and Sciences with the financial costs of further education.

Value

Cash payment of $500 per year

Duration

Two years subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Number per year

One at each Deakin at Your Doorstep delivery site.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

• an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
• a commencing student enrolled full time in the Associate Degree of Arts, Business and Sciences in a Commonwealth supported place.

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

• Motivation and commitment to study
• Career aspirations
• Academic achievement and/or related work and community experience

Special conditions

Payment of this scholarship in the second year will be subject to satisfactory academic progress in the first year.

Applications for 2012 are now open.

1. Please complete the Deakin at Your Doorstep Learning and Development Scholarship Application Form (116 KB) (116 KB) and provide a personal statement addressing the selection criteria listed on the application form.

2. Submit the form by 5pm on or before the closing date, 10 March 2012.
