The Invergowrie Foundation Tertiary Scholarships for Women at Deakin University

This scholarship is open to women from rural and regional areas of Victoria commencing undergraduate studies at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus, Geelong Waterfront Campus or Warrnambool Campus.

Value

Cash payment to assist with study costs, payment towards student contribution or annual accommodation costs of up to $5000 per year.

Duration

Three years minimum, subject to satisfactory academic performance

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • female
  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing student enrolled full time in an undergraduate course at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus, Geelong Waterfront Campus or the Warrnambool Campus in a Commonwealth supported place
  • resident from a rural or regional area of Victoria for at least the previous two years
  • able to demonstrate you are in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit or have a personal or family taxable income below the HECS repayment threshold, depending on independence status.

Selection criteria

Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation.

Special conditions

To be eligible for this scholarship you must not already hold a bachelors degree.
