Deakin Ken Nall and Cameron McNaughton Scholarship

If you are from rural or regional Victoria, and commencing undergraduate studies at Deakin, this scholarship is designed for you.

Value

Payment of student contributions up to $6,000 per year for a four-year degree, or $8,000 per year for a three-year degree.

Normal duration of your undergraduate course.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing student enrolled full-time in an undergraduate course in a Commonwealth Supported Place at the Geelong Campus at Waurn Ponds,
    Geelong Waterfront Campus or the Warrnambool Campus
  • from a rural or regional area of Victoria
  • either a recipient of a Centrelink benefit or can demonstrate that they have a personal or family taxable income below the HECS-HELP repayment threshold depending on independence status

Selection Criteria

Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation.

How to apply

VTAC applicants
If you are applying for a place at Deakin University in Trimester 1 2013, via VTAC, you must complete the VTAC Scholarships Application available via MyInfo.

Non-VTAC applicants
If you have deferred your course place at Deakin University and plan to enrol for the first time in Trimester 1 2013, you must complete an online application via the Deakin Applicant Portal.
