- About Deakin
The Library at Deakin provides information resources and services that will be an integral part of your university experience. Each campus has a library that is open throughout the year where you can study quietly or in groups, meet friends, borrow books, and connect to the university's wireless network using library computers or your own laptop.
The contemporary, new-look Melbourne Campus at Burwood Library marks the first phase of library redevelopment, extending the Library's role as a facilitator of high-quality support services for teaching, learning and research at Deakin-giving you a better choice of study options. Collaborative and private study spaces, student gathering areas and additional computers are now available, with similar building works under way at the Geelong Campus at Waurn Ponds Library.
There are over 1.5 million books, journals, newspapers, videos, CDs and DVDs across the libraries at Deakin, to enhance your learning experience. Online resources can be accessed from the Library web site using any internet connection and your Deakin ID , so you can search for information at any time-from home or work, as well as on campus.
Online tutorials and face-to-face workshops help you locate materials for assignments and research. You can also get assistance from the helpful library staff in person, by phone, via email or the web-instant messaging is now available via the Library home page, or you can post on our Facebook wall.
The Library at Deakin looks forward to supporting you in your learning, teaching and research.
