Off-campus study

Off-campus study allows you to study when it's most convenient for you.

Off-campus courses are the same as on-campus courses, except that you study using a variety of methods that incorporate online technologies and audiovisual materials, rather than attend classes in person. This allows you to access resources and maintain contact with your lecturers and fellow students.

Deakin supports off-campus students by providing:

  • online conferencing for communication with peers and teaching staff
  • tutorial and tele-tutorial groups
  • optional weekend schools
  • self-help chat rooms
  • online library catalogue
  • resources like the Distance Education Support Services Guide and the Deakin Learning Toolkit.
