International Short-term Study programs are usually between two and three weeks in length and run over the summer or intra-trimester break. You will travel overseas with a group of Deakin students led by a Deakin academic. You enrol in the relevant unit before going overseas and each program generally offers one credit point towards your degree. The programs are usually open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
International short-term programs are not administered by the Education Abroad office and you will need to contact the relevant program director for more information on the program you are interested in.
Students participating in international short-term study programs are generally not eligible for the OS-HELP loan. The exception is students who participate in the Norway Study Tour and the International Commercial Law Study Program in Europe.
School of Education students can also participate in the Faculty's Global Experience Teaching Program, a teaching practicum program for students enrolled in primary and secondary teaching courses.
