Our supporters directly help to fund research, scholarships and priority projects that are making a real difference to our communities.
A great university is a gift to your community
The support we receive from individuals, organisations and Trusts and Foundations play a vital role in Deakin’s development and how we can give to our communities. The power of philanthropic support allows us to continue offering students a transformative education, nurture ground-breaking research and sustain a strong and vibrant community. In this challenging landscape of reduced funding for higher education, your gifts are more important than ever.
Recognising our donors
Deakin University like to recognise your support, no matter how big or small, by thanking you for your gift and providing you with updates on how your donations are being used. Every cent you give goes directly to help students and projects across the university. We extend our sincere appreciation to all of our donors and volunteers for participating in Deakin’s past successes − and future contributions.
Acknowledgement of donations
As a donor, you will receive regular updates about the University and invitations to University events. The impact of your gift will be documented and reported to you on an annual basis. You may receive progress reports or testimonials from students whose lives are transformed by scholarships; photos which plot the progress of building works and the advancement of Deakin, or details about the outcomes of research projects. It is important to us that you see the journey of your gift and the impact you directly have on students’ lives and the communities we serve.
Deakin regularly hold events to thank and honour donors for their highly valued contributions and to congratulate recipients.
