Vice-Chancellor's welcome

Of all the factors that underpin a nation's growth and prosperity, education is perhaps the most important.

Each year, Deakin University commits substantial resources to building Australia's skills and knowledge base. This is an investment in Australian society, ensuring that the national economy continues to grow; but we need your help.

Deakin University seeks your involvement and partnership in its scholarship program, which provides improved access to higher education – particularly for students from rural and regional areas, Indigenous students and students who face financial and social barriers. This is consistent with two of the University's core commitments to access and equity and to rural and regional engagement.

The University is also keen to attract contributions from philanthropic and corporate sources for the provision of new buildings and to fund Deakin's expanding research efforts. We hope you will join us in providing improved education opportunities for Australians.
