What search criteria is required to use GradSearch?
Any two of either surname, date of birth or student ID.

What is the purpose of GradSearch?
GradSearch provides both graduates and employers of graduates with an instantaneous qualification verification tool.

What records will GradSearch display?
GradSearch will display all qualifications/awards received by that student including the date of graduation/conferral.

Who can access GradSearch?
Anyone provided they have the correct search criteria.

Can graduates request GradSearch access be blocked?
No, as this information is deemed public record. The GradSearch system simply provides an on-line summary of information contained in the University’s published graduation booklets.

Will a student’s qualification be displayed if they have not yet graduated?
No. GradSearch will only return a result for those students who have graduated in person or have graduated in absentia.

How can the University release this information?
This information is deemed public record. The GradSearch system simply provides an on-line summary of information contained in the University’s published graduation booklets.

I’ve just completed all units of my course, so how come my qualification is not available on GradSearch?
Unless you have attended a graduation or graduated in absentia, GradSearch will not return a result.

Are there any other records that will not display in GradSearch?
For some graduates that graduated prior to 2000, information may not display due to older computer systems in place at time of graduation.

Why is it that my name as displayed in GradSearch differs to my full name?
The name displayed by GradSearch is the name that the student graduated under and should directly match the name on their testamur. The name displayed in GradSearch cannot be changed.

I’ve just graduated, but GradSearch does not display my qualification. Why not?
GradSearch information is sourced directly from the Callista Student Management System. Once Callista is updated GradSearch will reflect the Callista information on file. Please allow two weeks after graduation.

I completed a degree with one of Deakin's antecedent institutions, will GradSearch display my records?
No, as all antecedent institution records held by the University are in hard copy format only. Antecedent institution graduates should contact DSA Customer Service to obtain verification of their qualifications.
