Security

The University aims to provide a safe and secure environment for students on all its campuses.

The University’s Security objectives are to achieve the following:

• security of persons lawfully engaged in campus activities
• protection of university property and facilities
• responding to incidents that impact on the University
• providing after-hours emergency assistance, fire and first aid
• enforcement of parking regulations and patrolling campuses.

Deakin Security Officers are easily identifiable by the Deakin Security badges on their uniforms. The Security Officers are available at any time to accompany you to your vehicle or to another building or location on campus, whenever you do not feel comfortable making your trip alone. This is a free safety service, and a Security Officer should be in attendance within 10 minutes.
