The Applied Exercise Research Unit (AERU) addresses research questions and projects from a multi-disciplinary exercise science perspective. The AERU seeks to investigate issues that confront individuals in their ability to perform. These may range from issues relating to injury or disease through to demanding occupational and sporting environments and challenges. Whether it is task analysis, exercise testing and prescription, coaching and coach education, performance enhancement and management, the AERU team bring a broad range of skills, experiences and research techniques to any project. With a focus on enhancing performance in challenging situations, the AERU's mantra is 'Fit for Purpose'; we achieve this through an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach.
