The Faculty of Health is offering health students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of an exciting health study tour to Cambodia.

The two-week tour, which will take place from 17 January until 1 February 2015, is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from public health, health promotion, health sciences, health and human services management, occupational therapy, public health nutrition and social work courses.

You will be enrolled in the study tour as a Trimester 3 unit and upon successful completion gain credit towards your degree. You will have the opportunity to develop international networks with the potential to aid future career development, not to mention the fantastic opportunity to discover a new country and culture!

The study tour will provide you with a significant insight into health care, health policy, disease prevention and health issues in a country with very different challenges and infrastructure to Australia. You will have the opportunity to conduct a comparative study and gain invaluable first-hand experience of the health systems and policy of a developing country.

You will be introduced to Cambodian culture and enjoy a range of cultural activities involving language, history, art, dance and music, as well as social engagement with local communities. Participants will need to be available to attend a full-day workshop, to be held in the week prior to the trip, in addition to the two-week period in Cambodia.
