Dr Matthew Lewis
Dr Matthew Lewis is a researcher who has an interest in the relationship between ageing and cognition and the factors that can affect this relationship. He has worked in industry as well as academic and healthcare settings in a range of research roles. A common thread through this work is the investigation of factors that affect successful cognitive function in people as they age and factors that affect people who have been diagnosed with dementia. Dr Lewis has been employed in the Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Ageing Well, Aging Productively group to conduct research focusing on issues surrounding ageing and dementia. He will work with colleagues in the School of Psychology on existing work surrounding ageing and will pursue new opportunities with colleagues and external partners.
