Role and profile
Judy Appleton is an Associate Lecturer in the area of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. She teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Judy has commenced research into a range of issues relating to food provision in community settings and institutions.

Judy's research has included: • investigation into the eating habits, mobility, nutritional status, social and food shopping habits of the home-based elderly. • investigation into barriers to achieving adequate food intake in institutionalised settings. • nutritional assessment and meal satisfaction of clients in an institutionalised setting.
