Role and profile
Dr Michelle Jackson is a Researcher within the School of Exercise and Nutrition Science, managing a number of large scale population studies and intervention projects within the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition (C-PAN). The major projects Dr Jackson has managed or currently managing include: • Children and Family Eating Study (CAFÉ Project) • Health Eating and Play Study (HEAPS) • Children’s Leisure Activities Study (CLASS / CLAN) • PATCH (Parents Advocating Towards Children’s Health) • READI study
Research interests
Dr Jackson's main research interests lie in the area of Health Epidemiology.
Service to the University, discipline or community
Dr Jackson has expertise in the management of large-scale epidemiological studies examining health and Health behaviours. Dr Jackson has been a project manager for over 10 years with significant experience in the management of large-scale population-based health studies in adults and children. She also has experience in both qualitative and quantitative projects in both urban and rural areas and among those experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage.
