Role and profile
Dr Gie Liem is a Senior Lecturer at Deakin University at the school of Exercise and Nutrition Science. He previously was a project leader and researcher at Wageningen University, Unilever Research (the Netherlands) and the Monell Chemical Senses Center (US). He published 15 peer reviewed papers and 2 book chapters on food choice and taste development of children. He is a reviewer for leading journals such as Appetite, Food Quality and Preference and the International Journal of Physical Activity and Behavioural Nutrition. He currently co-leads the Sensory Science Group at Deakin University and Chairs the Faculty Student Experience Committee.
