Role and profile
Jemma Merritt is a Research Fellow in the area of nutrition and physical activity, part of the Behavioural Epidemiology Group in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. She is currently working on the READI study which investigates the causes of the increased risk of obesity among socioeconomically disadvantaged women and their children.


Research Interests
Jemma Merritt’s research interests include nutrition and physical activity (and the determinants/influences of these behaviours). She is particularly interested in groups at high risk for unhealthy behaviours and weight gain, including young women, and people of low socio-economic status.
