Role and profile
Rebecca Patrick is a lecturer in the area of public health and health promotion within the School of Health & Social Development. She has a strong practice background in: community, women’s and youth health; violence prevention; program planning and evaluation; capacity building for health promotion; and corporate health. She is currently undertaking her PhD in relation to ‘health promotion practice in the context of climate change’. More recently she has developed and delivered training resources in the area of environmental sustainability and health.

Rebecca has three broad research interests. Social health and welfare research issues including family violence and women’s health, child support and welfare policy. The scholarship of tertiary education including experiential learning, reflective practice and work integrated learning. Her current research spans the topics of: health-related education for sustainability; climate change, social vulnerability and health; and health promotion and climate change.Awards and prizes
