Role and profile
Evelyne de Leeuw is professor of Community Health Systems and Policy. Her research and teaching involve health policy development, public health development, healthy cities, and international, transnational and global health.

Research Interests
Professor de Leeuw has an extremely wide array of research interests, all stemming from a curiosity into health decision-making. Applying theories, methods and tools from the social, political and health sciences, she is involved in the following projects in Australia and overseas:
• Quantitative sociological network mapping and analysis for local health policy development and implementation (The Netherlands, Australia)
• Network mapping of community engagement in pharmaceutical policy development (Australia)
• The nexus between research, policy and practice (VicHealth, Victoria)
• Healthy Cities, local Agenda 21, community action and policy development (previously WHO/EURO, currently WHO/WPRO)
• Global health; the interface between global and local health development, and in particular the mapping of healthscapes for policy purposes
• Development and implementation of the UDE (Utility-Driven Evidence) (Denmark, The Netherlands, Australia)
