Role and profile
Ms Nevill is Lecturer in Public Health and Health Promotion in the School of Health and Social Development. She is a keen practitioner of online teaching and learning, and is an active researcher into issues which affect the wellbeing of migrant communities who have undergone major traumatic experiences.

Research Interests
Ms Nevill’s main research interest focuses on how older migrant populations who have experienced a major crime against humanity such as genocide develop and maintain levels of well being, hence shifting from the traditional trauma perspective widely published in the health and medical literature. She is also interested in the role of tradition and ritual, including religion, upon the wellbeing of these diasporic populations.
