Deakin Optometry Students Society, DOSS, is a group open to all Deakin students but specifically caters for students studying Vision Science or Optometry and those interested in the Optometric field. We are based at Deakin University Waurn Ponds Campus.

What do we aim to do?

DOSS has a goal to provide fun and interesting academic and social events associated with Optometry to its members. We also aim to make strong ties with industry members both independent and corporate for long term career development. The society holds regular meetings and events for its members to meet and acquaintance themselves with one another and with unique optometric professionals and companies in the industry.

What does membership include?

Becoming a DOSS member enables you to regularly receive information regarding career options, up and coming DOSS and related events, reduced ticket prices to events and the opportunity to purchase specialty merchandise.

How much does it cost?

Membership for DOSS lasts a year from Jan 1st to Dec 31st. Membership price depends on if you’re a member of the Deakin University Student Association (DUSA).You can sign up to DUSA here.
If you’d like to join us for this year, membership is $5 for DUSA members or $10 for non DUSA members.
