The Deakin University School of Medicine is Victoria's first rural and regional medical school.
The School has been accredited by the Australian Medical Council until December 2013. Our first students commenced on 7 February 2008.
The School of Medicine is located in a purpose-built building on Deakin's Geelong Campus at Waurn Ponds. Students will be based at the Waurn Ponds Campus and clinical sites in the Geelong area for the first two years of the course. The final two years of the course will be completed in clinical schools attached to health services and general practices in Western Victoria and Melbourne.
