Role and profile
Dr Rob MacGinley has a teaching role and administration role, primarily being one of the only Consultant Specialists appointed on staff to work in the first and second year programs through the four themes and in detail, the first year's teaching of community placements and renal medicine. In third year (with influence in TCP of second year) Dr MacGinley runs the medicine (physician type) teaching, as convenor, at Geelong Clinical School and also has responsibility for the internal and outside elective program.

Research interests
Hypertension, diet and disease, acute renal failure in ICU, chronic renal failure, elderly dialysis, vascular biology, clinical medicine.Awards and prizes
