Introduction

Ronny Veljanovski is the Executive Project Manager for Deakin Optometry in the School of Medicine. Ronny holds a PhD in Engineering, BSc in Computer Technology and a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education from Victoria University, Melbourne Australia. He also continuously keeps up to date with the Project Management discipline via professional development courses.

Ronny has 8+ years of project experience in which 5 years are direct project management experience. He has worked across university and R&D sectors managing academic service based projects and major R&D commercially driven projects. Academic projects have ranged from post-graduate program restructures and introduction of new programs, marketing and recruitment, industry projects and has also been instrumental in the launch of problem based learning across all engineering disciplines at Victoria University. Prior to joining Deakin, Ronny was the R&D Project Manager for the Monash Node of CRCBID Ltd. In this role Ronny fostered, grew and directly supervised a large multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, post-docs, research fellows and contractors to achieve commercially viable platform technologies for biomedical imaging.
