- About Deakin
The Centre for Clinical Nursing Research is a partnership between Deakin University and Epworth Healthcare. It is located in the Epworth Centre on the ground floor of the Erin Street building of the Epworth Hospital, Richmond Campus.
The Centre is led by Professor Mari Botti and supported by Research Fellows, multidisciplinary clinicians, nurse researchers, Honours in clinical nursing and higher degree students.
This partnership between Deakin University and Epworth Healthcare provides clinical research opportunities across a variety of acute and sub-acute health care settings. This collaborative partnership between a healthcare and tertiary sector provides a unique setting for students seeking clinically focussed research training or participation in multidisciplinary research across acute, rehabilitation and community contexts. Epworth clinical staff are encouraged and supported to be actively involved in the process of inquiry and research programs.
The Centre has a research agenda that specialises in developing an evidence base to enhance quality and safety in the delivery of clinical care and the impact of new technology on health outcomes.
