In line with Deakin's goal to have an international outlook in relation to teaching and research, the Faculty’s international partnerships include collaborations with universities around the world and international organisations.

The WHO Collaborating Centre for Obesity Prevention was established in 2003 and aims to:

• undertake research and build research capacity in all aspects of obesity prevention
• train and educate professionals and academics in the science and art of obesity prevention.

The Faculty has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Public Health Foundation of India to build India’s capacity in public health promotion.  This collaboration aims to set up a network of public health schools which will deliver training beyond the field of medical education.
