Dr Jarrad Lum is senior lecturer in psychology. His main work focuses on understanding and developing methods to identity and help children with learning difficulties. Some of his research to date has focused examining learning and memory problems in children What hes working on at the moment: Research into working memory, declarative memory and procedural memory in childhood language disorders. Setting up the new eye-tracker. Use of transcranial magnetic stimulation to examine the role of memory in language. Brain imaging study examining brain functioning in children with language problems. Teaching responsibilities
Dr Lums is unit chair of HPS707 which is a course in clinical statistics for students studying towards a clinical masters degree in psychology. He also is assistant coordinator for HPS202/HPS772 which is an undergraduate course in developmental psychology.Dr Lum supervises 4th year, masters, doctoral and PhD students.
